On 22 June 2015, we organised the annual client event “Country Day 2015” for Scandagra, an international agricultural products company. This event was full of Latvian traditions and atmosphere and took place on a farm in the district of Bauska. The event gathered more than 300 clients and cooperation partners of the company with their families.

The event combined leisure and recreation activities with a professional and informative part. Guests were able to see different sorts of wheat and canola, as well as compare various plant protection schemes and their impact on the sorts of grain and canola.

Goal

Midsummer in our country is always very powerful, significant and even magical. The aim of the event was to create an environment, emotions and activities in the event agenda that could allow for feeling and understanding the power of this midsummer time through a national atmosphere, Latvian special wisdom and traditions.

Solution

After the professional tour in the countryside, the post-folk group Ilģi delighted guests; also, they enjoyed lectures about the Latvian lifestyle and attended entertaining workshops. Guests made traditional and, at the same time modern, Midsummer Night hairstyles, carved their amulet of success, and created body art drawings of the Latvian traditional signs and symbols. During the workshops, masters of Latvian traditional hothouse Aelita and Juris Batņa talked about the rituals of the hothouse but the pride of Latvia and brewery of Bauska, brewer Kārlis Zālītis shared his knowledge about beer.

Result

Farmers, agronomists, household owners from all around Latvia highly evaluated the things they saw and experienced during the "Country Day 2015". The festivity was organised in order for everyone to feel welcome!
